Modern Metal band from Bucharest, Romania
MBP is a progressive modern metal four-piece band, located in Bucharest, Romania. Founded in 2017, they released an ambitious self-produced 80 minutes debut album, called “A Lifetime Consequence”, in early 2019, followed by the self-titled 3-song EP, officially released on the 1st of October 2020. SURVIVALIST are a highly accomplished Belfast-based metal/deathcore quintet with key influences spanning from Architects, As I Lay Dying, and Killswitch Engage. The band express deeply drenched grooves, ball-busting riffs, unremitting breakdowns, and vocal lines that will draw in and captivate anyone within earshot. The UK bruisers are comprised of Gavin Sharp (vocals), Thomas Marshall (guitars), Stuart McLoughlin (guitars), Nick Butcher (Bass), and Rhys Fraser (drums), and first entered the public domain in 2019, when they quickly attracted eager attention for their formidable sound that tips its hat to past masters, whilst cutting through and embracing contemporary metal and deathcore. SURVIVALIST dropped their debut album, VII, last year, and the record soon amassed strong streaming numbers and has helped elevate the band to stunning new heights.
The burly five-piece are now set to go again with their intoxicating brand-new single, Vison Of Violence, which is the ideal showcase piece for the band. It’s loaded with biting riffs, ear-crunching breakdowns, and stomping refrains. The band comment about the track and their plans for 2023: “‘It’s the first of many releases we have planned for this year. Mixed, mastered and produced by the incredible Josh Robinson of JSR Studios, this song is a natural progression from our previous releases, and shows a further exploration into our own brand of metal that we call ‘Groovecore’.”
With an action-packed year ahead of them, SURVIVALIST have arrived, and will undoubtably leave their mark on proceedings.
