Chaoseum Interview

MM: Can you tell us about your Band and whos your biggest influences

Chaoseum was born in Switzerland in 2018. Our influences come from Korn, Spliknot, Bullet For My Valentine and many more metal bands.

MM: Where do you draw your inspirations and ideas from?

Apart from music...horror movies and from our personal experiences, our life on tour.

MM: What would you say is your Bands favourite song ?

I think “First Step To Hell”. It’s a easy song with a good chorus.

MM: Plans tour and festival wise for 2020

We will have double release party in Switzerland for our second album “Second Life”. But our European tour with Fleshgod Apocalypse and Ex-Deo is postponed to Autumn 2021 due to COVID-19

MM: What do you like best and worst abt touring

Be on tour is not every time a sleep cure, but I like a lot. You play almost each night in a different city and share your passion, talk with fans, discover something new. It’s humanly very important and interesting.

MM: Which three Bands would be your ultimate touring buddies

For sure, Tarja and her band are great. We was on tour in Russia with them. That would be great to start a new tour together. Our next album is close to the Korn’s style. And finally, because is a dream for me, Iron Maiden.

MM: What’s the most memorable concert you’ve been to (other than your own) and why?

Of course, my first Iron Maiden. That was in 1988 during the seventh tour of a Seventh tour

MM: What do you feel has been your biggest accomplishment so far with

Play in Los Angeles at Whisky a gogo in January 2020 and at Namm Show

MM: Which are your Two favourite Albums of all time

  • Iron Maiden: Seventh Son of a Seventh Son

  • Bon Jovi: Slippery When Wet

MM: Can you remember the first time you ever played live and how it felt to have people watching you?

Yes, that was in Geneva in 1992 or 1993. We played with my first band “Like Wilds” our first concert in a old house. Around 100 people were there. I had a good feeling but if I saw this performance now, oh, I’m sure that was not a fantastic show.

MM: Growing up which Bands posters did you have on your bedroom wall.

It’s the first time someone ask me this question. Thank you, it’s a good question:

Iron Maiden, Helloween, Metallica, Kiss, Mötley Crüe.

I shared my bedroom with my brother. And on his wall we found some posters of pop stars. 2 different music worlds.

MM - Who do you think influenced the world of Metal / Rock more than any other person

A lot of people. But for the spirit and the respect between fans and artists: Ronnie James Dio.

MM - What's the most important thing to the band right now?

We hope that everything will be ok really soon and everywhere. That the concerts can restart and that people have not lost the habit to come to see some bands on stage.

MM:If you could do a cover of any song which one would it be and why?

An old arranged song like “Heartbreaker” or “I Want Out” from Pat Benatar.

MM: Tell us why we should buy and listen to your Band

I would like to say: first listen the band on Spotify, YouTube or somewhere else. If you like it, continue to listen and if you love it, support us and come to see us on stage. Of course, you can also support us and buy something on our website. If you don’t like our music, thank you trying.

MM: Four words to describe Chaoseum

Hungry, unstoppable, passionate, Heavy
