                                                                                                             Mojo Alice Interview  18/09/20

MM: Can you tell us about your Band and whos your biggest influences

Jem: Our band Mojo Alice is a four piece and we play what most say is ‘Hard Blues Rock’.

Together we have some pretty far and wide influences but you'd find most are the old school bands and muso’s who are masters of their instruments - full of guitar solo’s & ballsy beats.

MM: Where do you draw your inspirations and ideas from

Jem: Everyday life, a bit of the dark side & whatever feels good!

MM: What would you say is your Band's favourite song ?

Jem: Oh hell, thats a hard one! ‘In My Head’ is the 1st song we ever wrote and it came together really quick - that's kinda when we knew we were going to make more music together. So yeah, that’ll do!

MM: Plans tour and festival wise for 2020

Jem: Well aside from being signed with 434 Management, 2020 has been a bit of a write off. We have had to cancel gigs and instead focus on the possibilities 2021 may bring. Definitely looking at some overseas action but the big question is when...Covid has everything by the throat at the moment

MM: What can we expect from Mojo Alice live

Jem: We write our songs to be played live, guitar solos, big beats and ball busting vocals - we always aim to deliver a forking great show!

MM: What do you like best and worst abt touring

Jem: Playing live is T.H.E  B.E.S.T.

Waiting to play is the worst

MM: Which three Bands would be your ultimate touring buddies

Jem: THREE?! Well that changes almost daily - let's go with ACDC, Pantera and Ozzy today

MM: What's the most memorable concert you've been to (other than your own) and why

Jem: Simply because of how I was forever changed - was an NZ band called KORA - I’d never heard of them before and they were opening for the main act I’d gone to see.

They started with a bone rumbling bass line that literally shook my soul and honestly inspired me on the spot, to get into a band.

MM: What do you feel has been your biggest accomplishment so far with Mojo Alice

Jem: Gotta be recording our first Album ‘Liquid Sin’

MM: Which are your Two favourite Albums of all time

Jem: Aw hell, We Want Moore - Gary Moore and Back In Black - ACDC

MM: Can you remember the first time you ever played live and how it felt to have people watching you?

Jem: It was a freaky experience, nervous as hell but the buzz was awesome.

MM: Growing up which Bands posters did you have on your bedroom wall.

Jem: Iron Maiden, ACDC, Whitesnake, Joan Jett, BB King...

MM - Who do you think influenced the world of Metal / Rock more than any other person

Jem: I’d have to say Jimi Hendrix, Led Zep

MM - What's the most important thing to the band right now?

Jem: New material, keeping ourselves tight set wise and our 2nd Album planned for 2021

MM:If you could do a cover of any song which one would it be and why?

Jem: I'd like to maybe do a Janis Joplin song though I'm not sure which one. Also love Barracuda by Heart and Little Pills by Devilskin

MM: Tell us why we should buy and listen to your Band

Jem: If you enjoy ballsy music that you simply can't sit still to - listen to Mojo Alice. And every cent you spend on our music and merch helps us continue to make more music. Win, win!

MM: Four words to describe Mojo Alice

Jem: Hot Ballsy Stomp Rock

Final Words for your fans and our readers

Jem: Thanks for the support, we love ya for it - be a Mojo mofo & share the Stomp Rock!
