What can I say? The mighty pist.on return with an album after all these years and it’s blinding. Every song and moment hit a nerve with me no more so than the first few tracks. “Cold World” is the title track that sums up my life right now, after escaping a manipulative relationship, this track is insanely moreish and pretty apt to my current circumstances. It is indeed a "Cold World" but I got this album to listen to!

Simply love the theme of “Ruin your day” this song has angst and anger and works its magic, love the delivery from Vocalist Henry Font!

The groovy “Icicles” booms outta my speakers scaring the begeesh out of my cats! As Fonts Vocals and guitars combined with Burton Gan’s and the booming bass of Jack Hanley grip you with its killer vibes as McManus Drums lead you into a trance-like state.

“Vamp 69” is a gothic masterpiece and has you hitting the replay button, as all the tracks do, to be honest on this exceptionally inspiring and captivating release.

“Opera” is a delight with its soft and dulcet tones building into something spellbinding. I really can't rave enough about this platter, its awesome!

The catchy “I Don’t” will make even the dead twist and shout with its dark and moody vibes. If you love Type O Negative well “Exhume her” would not have been out of place on any of their albums. Simply put it is a magnificent beastie.  The next four tracks are demos ranging from 2000-2021. “Ice Bath” sees you diving deep into the abyss as this track washes deep into your soul. The groovy "Another Day" rocks up next with its heavy and thrusting guitars. The penultimate track” Light” is my second favorite track of these demos with its tones spiking you with its intent. The best of the demos is saved to last as “Pain” is enthralling and captivating, and you can indeed feel "Pain", but is a throbbing of aural pleasure!

These rejuvenated Brooklyn rockers are back with a vengeance, I hope the world sits up and takes notice of “Cold World” as passion oozes from this mesmerizing album. pist.on is once again a force to be reckoned with in 2022. Without a shadow of a doubt with its dramatic encounters, "Cold World" is a must-have!
