Pressure Interview 05/12/12
MM: Can you tell us about your Band and whos your biggest influences
We are the Swedish melodic rock band Pressure. The band is all about different kind of pressures around us. You know whoever you are, you always feel or deal with pressures. We want to address that and help people handle their pressures. Get tools to live their life even when life is hard. We have a lot of influences but not a biggest influence. We get influenced by good music, musicians who connect with their music or a really good story. That’s our inspiration.
MM: Where do you draw your inspirations and ideas from
This is kind of the core to us and our music. We collect stories from ourselves and those closest to us. To get an idea for a song you have to know the true meaning about what you are trying to tell. So you have to dare to live life to be able to tell a true story about life. So I can truly say that we mean each and every word and note we play.
MM: What would you say is your Bands favourite song ?
Its often the latest we did haha, nah, my favourite has not been released yet. Its from our upcoming album and is called “Ingen Som Hör Dig” or the English title “No one can hear you”
MM: Plans tour and festival wise for 2020
Well 2020 is almost over now. But we will release our Christmas single on 11th December! Next year we want to play as many shows as possible!
MM: What can we expect from Pressure live
Always connecting with our audience. Bringing on a close but hard hitting rock show with a lot of feelings but a lot of power! A really heavy show with perhaps a little off everything. We are actually doing a lot of preparation now for the upcoming live shows.
MM: What do you like best and worst abt touring
The best thing is to do the actual shows. Its wonderful to express yourself on stage and feel that you have touched people. That’s a real upside. I have not so many thins that I feel like are the worst on touring, but perhaps all the wait that can be and sometimes short period of sleep in your room.
MM: Which three Bands would be your ultimate touring buddies
Ah, there is so many! But ok…just 3? Sabaton, Aerosmtih and Guns ´n Roses
MM: What's the most memorable concert you've been to (other than your own) and why
There has been many. I mean we love to go to concerts. A blistering guitar solo, an outstanding vocal performance. Every concert has its own glimmering stardom. If I have to choose I will chose a concert I went to with Eric Clapton where he just sat down, without a band picked up an acoustic guitar and just spellbound 12000 people. Not many could do that.
MM: What do you feel has been your biggest accomplishment so far with
Writing the album. There has been so many feelings and paths leading up to it. But we are really proud of it.
MM: Which are your Two favourite Albums of all time
I will say Queens – Live at Wembly Stadium and Aerosmiths Big Ones
MM: Can you remember the first time you ever played live and how it felt to have people watching you?
I started playing when I was around 6 years old, so a hard time remembering. But I have been told that I loved to be on stage.
MM: Growing up which Bands posters did you have on your bedroom wall.
Of course. All my room was filled with it!
MM - Who do you think influenced the world of Metal / Rock more than any other person
There has been many. But I would say that the bands from the Strip in the US as Motley and Guns has been great for the way that people look at metal today.
MM - What's the most important thing to the band right now?
Just to focus on our music and preparing for new live shows. And of course our upcoming Christmas single release.
MM:If you could do a cover of any song which one would it be and why?
Before this band we played in a cover/party band so we have done them all haha…I would love to hear people doing covers of ours songs.
MM: Tell us why we should buy and listen to your Band
Because we are the real thing. And because we make great music.
MM: Four words to describe Pressure
Feelings, Pressures, Tools, Power
Final Words for your fans and our readers
Its been a long road for us to make our music and we really appreciate that people listen to us. We write our stories and would love to hear your stories as well. Take care of yourself during this hard time and We hope to see you at a show in the near future
