Sea of Snakes Interview

MM: Can you tell us about your Band and whos your biggest influences

Yea, we started this band out of the determination that all four members had to write and record songs that we felt could connect with people and live longer than the band ever would. We met up with Wyn Davis and got to record at the same studio as Sabbath, Black Flag, and Izzy Stradlin, among many others...We like Motorhead, EyeHateGod, Metal Church and the Doors.

MM: Where do you draw your inspirations and ideas from?

We get a lot of our ideas from just jamming at our practice spot and from reading about bands that got us into music. Our lyrics are usually based on things that happen in everyday life, people who take themselves way too seriously, and hating work.

MM: What would you say is your Bands favourite song ?

'Somebody get me a Doctor' by Van Halen

MM: Plans tour and festival wise for 2021

We plan on doing a stadium tour with Def Leppard and Motley Crue. We really think it's a go this time.

MM: What can we expect from you guys live

Go back and watch “The Decline of Western Civilization” part 1 and then part 2. It's a mash up of that.

MM: What do you like best and worst about touring?

The best part is all of the money, drugs, and groupies. The worst part is coming back home.

MM: Which three Bands would be your ultimate touring buddies

Anything Richie Scarlet is involved with, Cradle of Filth, and the Stones

MM: What's the most memorable concert you've been to (other than your own) and why

I saw Gn'R in St. Louis.

MM: What do you feel has been your biggest accomplishment so far?

Taking the time to do this interview.

MM: Which are your favourite two albums of all time?

Led Zeppelin II and Danzig II

MM: Can you remember the first time you ever played live and how it felt to have people watching you?

Yes, I just pretended everyone in the crowd was naked, but the only people there were the door guy and my girlfriend.

MM: Growing up which Bands posters did you have on your bedroom wall.

Robin Trower, Thin Lizzy, Annihlation Time, Ramones, Motorhead...there was a lot.

MM: Who do you think influenced the world of Metal / Rock more than any other person?

The God of Hellfire himself, Arthur Brown...also Roky Erickson.

MM : What's the most important thing to the band right now?

Not taking ourselves too seriously. Nothing is really shocking anymore in music. It's all been done. Lighten up a little bit and play from your fucking heart.

MM: If you could do a cover of any song which one would it be and why?

Bob Dylan's “All Along the Watchtower,” Not sure if anyone's done that one yet.

MM: Tell us why we should buy and listen to your Band

If you're reading this, please buy our music and listen to our band. Even if you're not reading this buy our music and listen...
