Spacejam Band  Interview  25/05/20

MM: What would you say is your Bands favorite song ?

Ans: BA Forest by The Cure

MM: Plans tour and festival wise for 2020

Ans:Recording and playing shows and touring the world. Yes with our record label The Animal Farm Music we're thinking of starting a series of online gigs, like a monthly residency with a four artist bill. We'll do it via Zoom, have everyone do a song at a time with a little banter in between songs and then go around again. It's going to be quite social, centred around the artists talking to one another, as opposed to just playing songs. Technically, it will be a live recording, but not a live broadcast. We'll edit the video a little, and make shorter versions of it for the various social media channels. The Label's CEO - Ville Leppanen - has plenty of great ideas and has been doing a great job since lockdown started he's a great human being and we love him.

MM: What can we expect from Spacejam live

Ans:To blow your minds and take you on a very special trip and to live an unforgettable time on board of our space ship.

MM: What do you like best and worst abt touring

Ans:Best is the interaction with the audience, sharing a unique experience, to give and to receive from your audience. You start a brand new show every time you go out on stage and you never know how the audience will react to what you are giving them.

Worst is missing your loved ones.

MM: Which three Bands would be your ultimate touring buddies

Ans:The Cure - Stereophonics - Foo Fighters

MM: What's the most memorable concert you've been to (other than your own) and why

Ans:My first ever gig! I was 12 and my cousins took me to see The Sex Pistols at Uxbrige Brunel University in December 1977. I didn't know what to expect and wow!!! They blew my mind. I knew I was experiencing something unique I was fascinated and from then I knew I wanted to be a musician and to play on stage.

MM: What do you feel has been your biggest accomplishment so far with

Ans:The recording of our latest album with Clive Martin record producer of Queen, David Bowie, The Cure, Sting.... We recorded, mixed and mastered all 10 songs in 14 days analog recording. We played mostly all the songs live just as bands should do.

MM: Which are your Two favorite Albums of all time

Ans:The Beatles Revolver - The Cure Pornography

MM: Can you remember the first time you ever played live and how it felt to have

people watching you?

Ans:Oh yes it was at my school I was 14 with my first ever band "The Inflicts" and I played the guitar and I was also the singer and I was yelling out my lyrics like hell and I could see we scared the hell out of them like never before. That was a great experience for me.

MM: Growing up which Bands posters did you have on your bedroom wall.

Ans:David Bowie and the Spiders from Mars - Led Zeppelin (first LP) - The Clash (1st LP) - Sex Pistols - Siouxsie and the banshees - Blondie - Bauhaus - Jimi Hendrix - The Damned - Ian Dury & The blockheads - Motorhead - Kate Bush

MM - Who do you think influenced the world of Metal / Rock more than any other person

Ans:Lemmy of Motorhead he was the first.

MM - What's the most important thing to the band right now?

Ans:Finding solutions to make our ways through all this shit. Taking the next step and being prepared for it.

MM: If you could do a cover of any song which one would it be and why?

Ans:On A Plain by Nirvana because it's a masterpiece. Kurt Cobain was one of the greatest melodists and songwriters ever.

MM: Tell us why we should buy and listen to your Band

Ans:We will take you for a very special trip through our world. You will be free again.

MM: Four words to describe Spacejam.

Ans:Unique - Trip - Rock - Free

MM:Final Words for your fans and our readers

Ans:Be yourself and don't believe everything you hear in the corrupt media. Make up your own mind and if you have any doubts then look for the right information. Put down the masks and stay free and see you soon. We love you.
