Ugly Clinic Interview  21.05.20

MM: Can you tell us about your Band and whos your biggest influences

UC:We are Ugly Clinic! Made up of Chloe our vocalist, Jed our drummer, Davie our bass player, Pete our guitarist and Richard, also guitarist!

We all have different tastes in music, we take influence from different genres! Band such as killing joke, ac/dc, motorhead, the damned, stone sour, avenged sevenfold and joan Jett have had a lot of influence on us individually!

MM: Where do you draw your inspirations and ideas from

UC:It depends on what kind of song we are working on! Chloe tends to draw inspiration from life experiences and movies! Whereas davie, tends to draw inspiration from his surroundings and what’s going on in the world!

MM: What would you say is your Bands favourite song ?

UC:We all have our own individual favourite. I myself (Chloe) think my favourite that we have released so far would be hot knife!

MM: Plans tour and festival wise for 2020

UC:Unfortunately we cannot tour, or even apply to play any festivals so far this year due to Covid-19. But, we are planning a uk tour when things get back to  normal!

MM: What can we expect from (Band Name) live

UC:High energy, loud, fun entertainment. And a good chat..

MM: What do you like best and worst abt touring

UCWe haven’t actually done our first tour yet! But gig wise, it’s always great spending time together as a band, and seeing the crowd enjoy what we do. The worst part is packing stuff away when we are finished...!

MM: Which three Bands would be your ultimate touring buddies

UC:Ooh, that’s difficult. Theres so many... but just to choose 3... probably

MM: What's the most memorable concert you've been to (other than your own) and why

UC:Personally, the most memorable concert I’ve been to is a festival, download festival. Because who doesnt love getting drunk in a field and watching AMAZING bands and artists such as ozzy, marilyn manson, avenged sevenfold, shinedown, royal republic, trivium, smashing pumpkins....

MM: What do you feel has been your biggest accomplishment so far with

UC:I would say our biggest accomplishment so far would be the fact we got through to the semi finals of krakatoas battle of the bands. Or, being asked to play alongside some amazing bands at the cellar, aberdeen.

MM: Which are your Two favourite Albums of all time

UC:My two favourite albums at the moment (it changes all the time) are probably hardwired, Metallica. And... hydrograd, stone sour.

MM: Can you remember the first time you ever played live and how it felt to have people watching you?

UC:I can remember. I was around 11 years old, and i felt physically sick!

MM: Growing up which Bands posters did you have on your bedroom wall.

UC:My chemical romance, black veil brides, slipknot, avenged sevenfold, paramore, marilyn manson, iron maiden, a day to remember, sex pistols, misfits, killing joke...and lots more!

MM - Who do you think influenced the world of Metal / Rock more than any other person

UC:I would probably say Ozzy Osbourne. He has a very distinctive voice, and hes done so many different “types" of metal. Hes also got great personality and I think people tend to listen to a laid back person like him.

MM - What's the most important thing to the band right now?

UC:The most important thing to us right now is getting through lockdown and getting back to working on a second album.

MM:If you could do a cover of any song which one would it be and why?

UC:We have covered a couple of songs. My personal favourite being “celebrity skin" by hole.

MM: Tell us why we should buy and listen to your Band

UC:We have catchy songs that you’ll hopefully enjoy! And we cant wait to release more.

MM: Four words to describe your Band

MM:Final Words for your fans and our readers
