                                                                                                         Artifer interview 25/08/23

MM: Can you tell us about your Band and whos your biggest influences
A: Artifer is a melodic modern metal band from Tallinn, Estonia. We draw inspiration for
various genres, such as metalcore, punk rock, pop and hardcore punk. Some of our influences
are bands and artists like Linkin Park, Slipknot, Queen, Micheal Jackson and Metallica.

MM: Where do you draw your inspirations and ideas from
A: While most of it comes from all kinds of heavy music, a lot of inspiration also comes from
movies, games, traditional music and even photography and art.

MM: What would you say is your Bands favourite song?
A: It has to be Nevermore. It’s always super fun to play live and the breakdown never fails to
get people going.

MM: Plans tour and festival wise for 2023
A: No tours or festivals planned for the rest of 2023, but on top of local gigs, we are going to
perform abroad in Latvia for the first time in September and hopefully in Finland towards the
end of the year.

MM: What can we expect from Artifer live
A: High energy, sing-alongs and a sense of unity.

MM: What do you like best and worst abt touring
A: We haven’t had a chance to tour yet so all the best and worst experiences are still ahead for

MM: Which three Bands would be your ultimate touring buddies
A: If we’re talking dream bands then Beartooth, The Ghost Inside and Electric Callboy. If based
on actual experiences then Horror Dance Squad, Agarwaen and Mört.

MM: Whats the most memorable concert youve been to (other than your own) and why?
A: Electric Callboy in Krakow. It was mind blowing to see the whole venue jumping and moving
from the very first song.

MM: What do you feel has been your biggest accomplishment so far?
A: Definitely playing Barbar Feast 2023 and prior to that sharing the stage with some well
known Estonian metal acts, Horror Dance Squad and Pedigree.

MM: Which are your Two favourite Albums of all time
A: Linkin Park - Meteora and Slipknot - Iowa

MM: Can you remember the first time you ever played live and how it felt to have people
watching you?
A: Doubt we’ll ever forget it! It started off super stressful but as soon as we started playing all
of the stress disappeared and the energy and vibe we felt was amazing!

MM: Growing up which Bands posters did you have on your bedroom wall.
A: Surprisingly, there weren’t any posters on our walls. Very Eastern Bloc of us.

MM - Who do you think influenced the world of Metal / Rock more than any other person
A: Ozzy Osbourne

MM - Whats the most important thing to the band right now?
A: Writing new music and performing as much as possible.

MM:If you could do a cover of any song which one would it be and why?
A: Might be a bit of a shock but honestly Everybody by The Backstreet Boys. It’s a super fun
song that always gets people to smile and move.

MM: Tell us why we should buy and listen to your Band
A: In reality no one has to or should even give a single shit about us HOWEVER if melodies
that burrow into the ear and energetic, chunky, heavy riffs are something you like, there’s a
high chance you’ll like us and our music.

MM: Four words to describe Artifer
A: Energetic, infectious, relatable, collaborative
