                                                                                          Pressure  interview 10/11/22

MM: Can you tell us about your Band and whos your biggest influences

Hey! We are Pressure. We are a Swedish hard rock/heavy metal band or well, we are a very diverse sounding band. We like to take our influences from many different genres and styles. We even invented our own subgenre of heavy metal which we call Story metal. This is something that means that we always starts with a lyrics or a certain situation that we want to describe or tell. After this we pick the music that best will fit to tell the story.

MM: Where do you draw your inspirations and ideas from

Because of the diversity of our songs we choose to not draw inspiration from one genre or a particular sounding style. We draw different inspirations for the work behind each and every Pressure song!

MM: What would you say is your Bands favourite song?

We usually like our latest release the most! So right now we are into “Sacramental Anger”

MM: Plans tour and festival wise for 2022

Right now we are focusing heavy on recording. We have a couple of livestreams planned for the rest of the year but no tour is planned due to the recording sessions.

MM: What can we expect from Pressure live

You can always expect something extra from a Pressure show. We try to mix modern storytelling with the power of metal and hard rock to give our audience something extra. We rely on modern technology and use a lot of visual components as well to help with the stories. We use synced videos, light shows and good and heavy music!

MM: What do you like best and worst about touring

The best thing is to get to new places and meet new friends and listeners. We love to explore the world and experience new things. The worst thing can be all the waiting and logistics that can lead to some frustrations but in the end it usually works out!

MM: Which three Bands would be your ultimate touring buddies

Halestorm, Sabaton and Rammstein!

MM: What's the most memorable concert you've been to (other than your own) and why

We love to go to concerts. All types of concerts, everything from big acts, festivals to local shows. The thing is that often is the energy of the local shows fantastic. The presence and the energy of the guys playing like there is no tomorrow is the pure essence of what the rock community is all about.

MM: What do you feel has been your biggest accomplishment so far with Pressure
To be able to release two full length albums and still have so many songs to do and release. To be able to experience all the band life is the biggest accomplishment. Its not easy to get all people to work in the same direction and there is a lot of strong minds trying to get their will. Sometimes we fight, sometimes we fight together against the world but being a musician and doing what you want to do with your life is something fantastic.

MM: Which are your Two favourite Albums of all time

This shifts all the time but right now I would say the latest Skid rom album “The gang’s all here” and Sabatons “Carolus Rex”

MM: Can you remember the first time you ever played live and how it felt to have people watching you?

I cannot, I was very young when I started to play. I was around 6 years old.

MM: Growing up which Bands posters did you have on your bedroom wall.

Oh, there was maaaaany! Everything from Guns n Roses, Lita Ford, Iron Maiden, Metallica, AC/DC etc. The list can be very long. Not much space on my wall where you could see the actual wall

MM - Who do you think influenced the world of Metal / Rock more than any other person

That’s very hard to say. There has been a lot of influencers, musicians, sound engineers and so forth but I want to say that Black Sabbath and how they started to play their own way and do their own sound during the 60ths was a base for many of the changes that came later.

MM - What's the most important thing to the band right now?

To finish our current projects and get back out and do shows again. We love to be on stage.

MM:If you could do a cover of any song which one would it be and why?

I want to do add lyrics and do melodic heavy metal of some Bach songs!

MM: Tell us why we should buy and listen to your Band

Because you will find something new and interesting each time you listen to the songs. We focus on real people, real stories from life that always has a truth to it. The music is very diverse and whatever you like you will find a Pressure song that fits you.

MM: Four words to describe Pressure

Melodic, Storytellers, Diverse, Heavy

Final Words for your fans and our readers

The world is a tough place to be and there is always heavy stuff going on. We had the pandemic, it’s a lot of conflicts and wars going on. Please support your local acts, go see a show, buy a shirt and like and share the band stuff. It means so much and we need to stand together as a metal family to help the world back on its feet.
