Alone In The Dark    Independent Release

Brazil isn’t known for its Glam –Sleaze metal but that’s about to change like a throw back from the Eighties/ early Nineties, a band with a modern twist are out on the streets and coming to party in your house, in your mind and will rock your world. From the intro of a laughing woman we are led in to the seedy and raunchy 'X-Rated' Criss Sexx on vocals rocks and struts his stuff, letting you know that Nympho are here to PARTY !.

'Treat Me like an Animal' barks and bites as the band take you on a journey of debauchery, and rock n roll excess.  'I Am Hate' is a darker, hate filled rocking anthem which would have you punching the air and singing, spitting the lyrics out to this one.

'Dreams Are Not Enough' is a slower a number with Criss Sexx showing Nympho's melodic side and proving this band are more than just a Sleaze – Glam band, nice lyrics and kind of reminds me of Winger 'Miles Away' and has a great guitar solo by Eric Prouvotand .  'I'll Come Running' is probably one my favourite tracks on 'Alone In The Dark', a very nice, catchy, song with a great drum sound from Pablo Pinherio and bass with Olavo Barroka.  'Here Comes Trouble' beefs it up again , rocking and tearing along, and I could imagine it going down really well live.

'Rock Me Hard' as you would expect by the title certainly rocks and pummels your senses and is a standout track on this album.  An anathematic number that gets in your head and if you aren’t moving to this number there is something wrong with you!.  'Don’t Walk Out On Love' is a sunny afternoon kind of song, driving along with the windows wound down and some Nympho blasting out on the stereo.

'Sexual Something' is sleaze-tastic and rocks along think Faster Pussycat turned up to eleven.  'Alone in the Dark' has a haunting opening, really great heartfelt lyrics and meanders along.

'Hollywood Heroes' has great riffage at the start and thunders along, a great song to finish a competent fun album, but what’s this at the end there’s an acoustic version of 'Dreams Are Not Enough', really fantastic!!

My sources tell me that Criss Sexx is coming to the UK for the Firefest festival so keep your eyes and ears open as there could be a few solo performances by Mr. Sexx!
