Rituals interview 12/08/22

MM: Can you tell us about your Band and who are your biggest influences?

We are Rituals, a 4 piece metal band from Newcastle England who are all about riffs, hooky vocals and energetic live shows.

MM: Where do you draw your inspirations and ideas from?

Our inspiration comes from each other, when writing music we want to make sure it's something that will make everyone in the band buzzing and excited about.

MM: What would you say is your Band's favourite song?

Of our own it has to be our latest single "Oceans Subside" it has all the core elements of the Rituals sound done to the highest standard yet, and that groove never leaves you.

MM: Plans tour and festival wise for this year and going into the next year?

We have got multiple weekenders up and down the country booked that we are ready to announce! Festival wise we have both RiseFest and Dominion booked, that we can't wait for!

MM: What can we expect from Rituals live?

4 lads giving it all we've got and leaving it all up there, as well as smacking your chops with some riffs.

MM: The worst and the best thing about touring

The general stress of travelling making sure we have somewhere to sleep is by the worst, the best are the time we get onstage and the time we get with each other in the band, we all get along so well so it's like a slightly less relaxing holiday.

MM: Which three Bands would be your ultimate touring buddies

Ultimate dream lineup would be Bleed From Within, While She Sleeps and Architects, what more can you want?

MM: The most memorable concert you've been to (other than your own) and why

A couple of us went to see Suicide Silence on their self titled album tour in Glasgow, the response to their new album lead to a half full venue, but the band played like they were at Wembley, and that is something we've tried to take on board.

MM: What do you feel has been your biggest accomplishment so far with

Opening for Skindred in Newcastle and the response we got as well as selling out our Oceans Subside single release show in 48 hours.

MM: Which are your Two favourite Albums of all time

Metallica Master of Puppets and Depeche Mode Playing The Angel

MM: Can you remember the first time you ever played live and how it felt to have people watching you?

Definitely, we were absolutely horrible but managed to keep it all together and play through a set of all our original material. It was nerve wracking but it still is and always will be!

MM: Growing up which Bands posters did you have on your bedroom wall.

Metallica, Slipknot and Guns N Roses

MM: Who do you think influenced the world of Metal / Rock more than any other person

Tony Iommi, that man influenced icons like James Hetfield so how can you argue with that!

MM - Tell us the most important thing to the band right now?

Making sure we are all working as hard as we possibly can to get our music out to as many people as possible!

MM: Tell us why we should buy and listen to your Band

We bring a fresh take to modern metal and are not afraid to try new ideas and sounds for the band, so you never know what our next single is going to sound like but you known it'll have a stellar riff and vocal hook!

MM: Four words to describe Rituals

Big riff all over

MM: Final words for your fans and our listeners

Thank you so much to anyone who has every streamed a Rituals song bought merch or come to a show, every bit means the world to us and we can't wait to take you on this journey with us!
