                                                                                    Rozu interview 24/10/22

MM: Can you tell us about your Band and whos your biggest influences
We started Rozu back in 2017 with members from other local heavy hitters in CO at the time.
As a collective our biggest influences would be our friends in the music industry like Avoid,
Thousand Below, Dayseeker, and many others!

MM: Where do you draw your inspirations and ideas from?
Funny thing about inspiration, it can come from anywhere at any time! It's usually a
combination between all our life experiences, trails and other passionate pursuits!

MM: What would you say is your Bands favourite song ?
Currently, our song new G.R.I.T. that is streaming on all platforms but our most favourite songs
are on our new album we will be releasing next year! So ask us again a year from now.

MM: Plans tour and festival wise for 2022?
Currently just focusing on booking for 2023 all year long!

MM: What can we expect from Rozu live?
High energy, raw emotion and above all else a good time.

MM: What do you like best and worst about touring?
The best thing about touring is meeting new people in a new place every night and trying a
local coffee spot. The worst thing is not always having access to a shower and missing loved

MM: Which three Bands would be your ultimate touring buddies?
Dayseeker, Thousand Below and Avoid. Hands down.

MM: What's the most memorable concert youve been to (other than your own) and why?
This is a tough question for all of us! Probably, The Brutal Poodle’s “Thank You Fest 2” Its
a local festival with some of our favourite CO bands and filled nothing but love and support
for one another. Not to mention the best bar food in Denver.

MM: What do you feel has been your biggest accomplishment so far with?
Honestly, still being in a band after quarantine!

MM: Which are your Two favourite Albums of all time?
We only have one and its “Macho Man” Randy Savage’s album “Be A Man”.

MM: Can you remember the first time you ever played live and how it felt to have people
watching you?
I think all of us had a very similar experience with playing for the first time ever in front of
people. It was a roller coaster of emotions. But once we got up on stage it felt natural and
amazing! Yes, we are human and get nervous too!

MM: Growing up which Bands posters did you have on your bedroom wall.
Hard to pin it down on a few. Our musical taste changed each year!

MM - Who do you think influenced the world of Metal / Rock more than any other person?
Linkin Park, Most of us wouldn't be playing/listening to this grene if it wasn't for them.

MM - What's the most important thing to the band right now?
Getting this record out, connecting with people and touring!

MM:If you could do a cover of any song, which one would it be and why?
Funny you asked because we are currently working on a cover of MOTHICA’s song
“SENSITIVE”. Why are we covering it because it slaps!

MM: Tell us why we should buy and listen to your Band?
Because we are all human on this spinning decaying planet and art is the only thing we truly
connect with each other on!

MM: Four words to describe Rozu?
Eclectic, Emotional, Honest, and Irate.

Final Words for your fans and our readers
Be kind! Thank you for sticking with us and hope to see you guys at our shows in 2023!
