                                                                                                            Solstice Rider interview 26/10/23

MM: Can you tell us about your Band and who’s your biggest influences?
Sure! This is Jeremy Bluteau, the founder and keyboard player of Solstice Rider.
Solstice Rider is an epic melodic death metal band from Maryland. The origins of
this band began when I lived in my hometown of Lusby and have evolved over the
years. My biggest influences are Finnish metal, Japanese music, and film
score/video game music.

MM: Where do you draw your inspirations and ideas from?
I draw inspiration from the sources above and also from my personal life. I try to
find a new song in an event. I try to pull from the most uncomfortable parts of
myself because that is where originality lives.

MM: What would you say is your Bands favourite song?
It’s between The Wildchild Rides On and Stolen Visions right now. Suffer to Glory
(The song) as well.

MM: Plans tour and festival wise for 2023?
To busy recording and releasing music to be touring!

MM: What can we expect from Solstice Rider live?
Crying and Moshing. Moshing and Crying. Maybe. Solstice Rider’s primary goal is
to have a good time and deliver memorable experiences.

MM: What do you like best and worst about touring?
Touring is fun when it comes to being with fans. The rising costs and lack of a
return on investment make it not so fun.

MM: Which three Bands would be your ultimate touring buddies
To many to list.

MM: What's the most memorable concert you've been to (other than your own)
and why ?
Seeing Insomnium or Sonata Arctica multiple times has been a blast.

MM: What do you feel has been your biggest accomplishment so far with Solstice
Releasing Suffer to Glory and soon our newest album in 2024.

MM: Which are your Two favourite Albums of all time
Dark Passion Play and Shadows of a Dying Sun.

MM: Can you remember the first time you ever played live and how it felt to have
people watching you?
Intoxicating, thrilling, and surreal.

MM: Growing up which Bands posters did you have on your bedroom wall.
Sonata Arctica.

MM - Who do you think influenced the world of Metal / Rock more than any other
Black Sabbath, specifically Tony Iommi.

MM - What's the most important thing to the band right now?
Releasing music that touches hearts in the fanbase.

MM:If you could do a cover of any song which one would it be and why?
The Government Sucks by Tenacious D because it’s hilarious.

MM: Tell us why we should buy and listen to your Band
The music speaks for itself.

MM: Four words to describe Solstice Rider.
Ethereal, Aggresive, Epic, Cerebral.
